Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a non-profit multi-stakeholder governance group that promotes better standards in cotton farming and practices in 21 countries.
BCI farmers receive training on how to use water efficiently, care for soil health and natural habitats, minimize the impact of harmful crop protection practices, preserve fiber quality and apply principles of decent work. BCI also promotes the use of best irrigation practices with farmers, as well as reducing the use of fertilizers.
