Vectran Cord

Braid obtained from the polyester-polyarylate fiber called Vectran.

This wire has high technical performances such as:

• high toughness and modulus;
• low moisture absorption;
  excellent resistance to many chemicals;
• modest coefficient of thermal expansion;
• high dielectric strength;
• high resistance to abrasion, thanks to the use of finishing;
• excellent maintenance of mechanical properties even after exposure to repeated temperature cycles;
• excellent vibration damping characteristics.

The applications are several, among them the use in the production of flyscreens due to the high resistance and low elongation that it has under stress, for the nautical sector, for the technical industry, in high or extremely low temperatures.
